It is the best-looking Taos for the money.

The base S also gains real equipment for 2027: the Composition Media infotainment system adds satellite radio, voice control, and two more speakers, and KESSY® keyless access with push-button start is now standard.

One honest note: EPA fuel economy came down slightly for 2027, from 28/36 mpg on the 2026 front-wheel-drive Taos to 27 city / 35 highway. If maximum mileage matters more to you than the new trim and tech, it is worth comparing against the 2026 Taos while we still have both model years on the lot.
